Brainspotting
What is…
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-body based therapeutic approach that helps you process and release emotional trauma and limiting beliefs that are stored deep in the nervous system.
Discovered by Dr. David Grand, Brainspotting is based on the idea that “were you look affects how you feel.” By using specific eye positions, known as brain spots, we access unprocessed trauma held in the subcortical brain, the part of the brain involved in emotions, survival responses, and unconscious memory.
Especially effective for deeply rooted or preverbal experiences
In a Brainspotting session, we gently guide your gaze to a point that connects with the emotional or physical issue you’re working on. From there, your body and brain begin to process the experience, often leading to powerful insights, emotional release, and lasting healing. Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting doesn’t require you to explain or relive the details of your trauma, making it especially effective for deeply rooted or preverbal experiences.
Why I integrate Brainspotting in my practice
As a trauma-informed coach,
I integrate Brainspotting because it allows us to go beyond the rational mind and access the parts of you that words can’t always reach. It supports nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and a deeper connection to your body and inner truth.
A gentle yet profound path
Whether you’re recovering from narcissistic abuse, releasing childhood wounds, or seeking to reconnect with your authentic Self, Brainspotting offers a gentle yet profound path forward.
