Somatic Trauma-Informed Coaching
Somatic Trauma-Informed Coaching is a body-centered approach to healing that recognizes trauma as not just something that happened in the past, but something that continues to live in the nervous system and the body.
When we’ve been in survival mode for too long, navigating emotional abuse, toxic relationships, or chronic stress – our bodies adapt to protect us. These adaptations show up as tension, numbness, anxiety, shutdown, or patterns like people pleasing and over functioning. Somatic coaching gently supports you in reconnecting with your body, creating safety from within, and releasing what’s been held inside.
This approach invites you to slow down, notice what’s happening in the present moment
Start feeling through
Begin to build a compassionate relationship with your internal experience. Through tools like grounding, breathwork, movement, and body awareness, I help your nervous system shift from survival into regulation and resilience. I often use frameworks and exercise from Positive Psychology to help you track and process your experiences in an integrated way. This allows us to move beyond talking about your challenges and what’s been stored or silenced.
Why I integrate somatic work into coaching is trauma is not stored in the mind but in the body. Only a combination somatic work and will really shift the emotions that feel stuck in the body.
How I can help
As a certified Somatic trauma-informed coach, this work is foundational to how I support women – especially those recovering from covert narcissism, emotional neglect, or long term self-abandonment.
Many of my clients come to me feeling disconnected from their bodies, emotions, and sense of self. Somatic coaching meets you where you are. It’s not about pushing or forcing- it’s about listening to your body’s pace, honoring what’s been protective, and gently building a new sense of safety, choice, and connection.
